Lindquist & Vennum’s Lisanne Weisz Receives Hennepin County Bar Association’s Diversity Award

Lindquist & Vennum LLP is pleased to announce that Lisanne Weisz, the firm’s Director of Legal Recruiting & Professional Development, has been named this year’s recipient of the Hennepin County Bar Association’s (HCBA) Non-Attorney Diversity Award. The diversity awards were designed to recognize the substantial and long-term contributions individuals and employers have made toward advancing the goals of diversity and inclusion, civil rights, civil liberties, or human rights in the legal profession within Hennepin County.

Weisz’s most notable accomplishments include her work with the HCBA Minority Clerkship Program. Since 2006, she has participated in every aspect of the program from conducting screening interviews with law students, working with the Selection Committee to hire students for the program, and hosting the interviews at Lindquist. Weisz is also actively involved in the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice organization, volunteering annually for a number of initiatives and events. She has had a leadership role with the Ambassador Program for local first-year law students. The program is an informal mentoring program that pairs students of color with attorneys from Twin Cities law firms and corporate legal departments in an effort to foster informal relationships. She has also volunteered her time to plan and facilitate the Minnesota Minority Recruitment Conference. The MMRC is an annual event that connects the largest legal employers in the Twin Cities area with top second-year and third-year law students from around the country.

Weisz is a member of the Minnesota Legal Career Professionals group, the National Association for Law Placement, the Association of Legal Administrators, the Legal Administrators Association of Minnesota and the Professional Development Consortium.   

 “I am honored to receive this award from the HCBA,” Weisz commented. “Mentoring students is rewarding and the experience has greatly enriched my professional life. I appreciate Lindquist & Vennum’s strong support of my involvement in diversity initiatives in the Twin Cities legal community.“

The award will be presented May 20th at the HCBA’s 95th annual meeting and awards luncheon.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
