Our Firm
Our Firm

Lindquist & Vennum’s 170 attorneys provide a full array of corporate finance, transactional and litigation services for clients from offices in Minnesota, Colorado, and South Dakota. We have served corporate, governmental and individual clients across the nation and around the world since 1968 (although our roots are even older, dating back to 1946).

Our corporate finance attorneys help emerging businesses position themselves for success and help established companies maintain a competitive edge. Clients in a variety of industries rely on Lindquist & Vennum for everything from advice on tax issues to in-depth counsel concerning raising capital, negotiating strategic alliances, and merging with or acquiring other organizations.

Our litigation practice covers all aspects of commercial and corporate trial and appellate advocacy, including antitrust recovery and defense; employment; insurance recovery; intellectual property; product liability; real estate; securities; and white-collar crime.

Like many of its clients, Lindquist & Vennum is a midsize organization. We offer the efficiency and personal attention typical of small firms, along with the resources, in-depth experience and sizable practice groups most often found at large firms. Our moderate size, Midwest location and conscientious assignment of attorneys and support specialists allow us to provide services at a value that fits clients’ means.

TAGLaw

Through our membership in TAGLaw (the Appleton Group Legal Network), Lindquist & Vennum can provide clients with access to attorneys throughout the U.S. and in 90 countries. TAGLaw is a worldwide network of 150 law firms whose attorneys supply knowledge and experience unique to specific cities, counties, states and countries. Our firm, which is TAGLaw’s exclusive member firm in Minnesota and Colorado, has belonged to the organization since its founding in 1998.

Commitments to Diversity and to Pro Bono Work

Lindquist & Vennum has long been recognized for its commitment to diversity and to providing pro bono services to people of virtually all races, religions, physical abilities and sexual orientations. One hundred percent of our attorneys have participated in pro bono work at some level since our program was formalized in 1997. In each of those same years, the firm has met the Pro Bono Institute’s “Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge” of contributing to pro bono work an amount of time equal to 3 percent of our firm’s total billable hours. In 2006 our firm was honored for having 94.5 percent of our attorneys log 20 or more hours of pro bono service—the highest percentage of any other Am Law 200 firm, and a number The American Lawyer called “staggering.” In January 2007, the Minnesota Judicial Council presented Lindquist & Vennum with its first-ever award recognizing pro bono efforts.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
