Laura Krenz has over 20 years of legal experience concentrated in real estate and is certified by the MSBA as a real estate property law specialist. She currently focuses her practice in the areas of development, financing and leasing. Laura has substantial expertise in all aspects of developing, financing and management of mixed use, multi-family housing, office and industrial properties. 

She frequently advises owners, developers, lenders and investors in navigating the complexities of public and private funding. Laura is familiar in all aspects of real estate transactions from land acquisition and assembly, securing entitlements, financing, construction, development and leasing.

Experience
  • Guiding the restructuring and refinancing of eight Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loans in excess of $91M for a senior housing and post-acute care provider
  • Serving as local counsel for a national real estate investment portfolio in connection with over 10 billion in financing transactions in the last four years secured by multi-family, retail, and industrial properties in multiple states. 
  • Representing owner in $43,000,000 sale of vintage apartment portfolio consisting of 11 buildings and over 400 market rate apartment units.
  • Assisting owners and investors in new construction of 140 unit market rate and affordable apartment project with $20,000,000 in private and public lending sources.
  • Representing a holding company in the $12,800,000 sale of a mixed use facility in Hopkins.
  • Assisting numerous developers in strategic planning and negotiation of the purchase, financing, construction and/or renovations of nearly 1,400 market rate and affordable apartment, senior housing and single family homes across Minnesota and the Midwest.
  • Representing private equity funds and companies with all aspects of financing, acquiring, selling and leasing of real estate asset portfolios.

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."
