Maggie Tatton represents private and public companies and private equity funds that are acquiring, selling, reorganizing and merging their businesses. Additionally, she provides much needed assistance to start-up entrepreneurs and rapidly growing companies in the areas of entity formation, general corporate services and fundraising.

Before joining the firm, Maggie managed a national association of independent law firms. In February 2015, Maggie summited Mount Kilimanjaro.

  • Represented a Chicago-based private equity fund in acquiring and integrating two separate businesses that provide metal manufacturing processes.
  • Ongoing representation of a portfolio company of a leading private equity fund in purchasing multiple food distribution companies across the United States.
  • Represented a local private equity fund in acquiring and combining two unrelated environmental services companies and represented the combined company in acquiring and amending its debt financing.
  • Represented a local private equity fund in acquiring and combining two business that specialize in collectible coins, fine jewelry and watches.
  • Represented a leasing private equity fund in the divestiture of an international environmental consulting firm to a buyer based in London.
  • Represented a start up medical device manufacturer in conducting two separate private placements and negotiating the relationships necessary to take its products to market.
  • Represented a medical device manufacturer in the spin-off of a part of its business to its shareholders and the sale of its remaining business to a public company.
  • Represented the members of a Minnesota-based financial planning and advisory services firm in the sale of their interest to a leading private equity fund.
  • Represented a national provider of communications solutions in the acquisition of a regional, closely held communications solutions provider.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
