Mike Kuhn regularly represents private and public companies and private equity funds that are acquiring, selling, reorganizing and merging their businesses. Additionally, he advises clients on day-to-day legal and business matters, including early-stage companies addressing issues related to entity formation, general corporate services and fund raising. 

Mike also represents many of the leading private equity firms in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. He has represented companies on the acquisition and sale process and management groups in connection with their investments. His experience includes leading the overall transaction process, negotiating the acquisition-related aspects, and structuring and negotiating employee and investor agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Mike served as a judicial clerk to Judge G. Barry Anderson of the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

  • Sale of Lindstrom Metric, Longwood Industries and Shock Doctor by Norwest Equity Partners.
  • Sale of Arctic Fox by Spell Capital Partners.
  • Acquisition of Checkers Industrial Products by Tonka Bay Equity and subsequently represented Checkers in the acquisition of three additional add-on transactions.
  • Acquisitions of a number of companies by ConvergeOne, a portfolio company of Genstar Capital.
  • Sale of Adventier Consulting to iSoftStone, a multi-national Chinese public company.
  • Acquisition of a lubrication-based business by World Fuels.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
