Richard Ihrig is a senior member of the bar who is hired for his superb judgment built on integrity, intelligence, and broad experience in the courtroom, boardroom, classroom, and community. While much of his work involves the resolution of complex commercial disputes—particularly actions presenting difficult jurisdiction, liability, and damage issues—he also is looked to for legal advice on a broad array of matters.

In recent years, Richard has been the senior legal advisor to a trustee of one of the largest concentrations of private wealth in the world.

  • Represents two significant families is restructuring and migrating family wealth to achieve tax efficiency and long term family cohesion and philanthropy.
  • Successfully represented pro bono a conservation group in mitigating the adverse environmental, community, and aesthetic effects of a non-metallic mine.
  • Represents pro bono The Nature Conservancy in nationally significant litigation involving the valuation of land subject to conservation easements.
  • A founder of and pro bono senior legal counsel to Global Rights for Women, which is a NGO working around the world in partnership with local NGO’s to draft, enact, implement, and enforce laws to stop violence against women.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".
