Experience
  • Defending the Valspar Corporation in a $50+ million product defects claim resulting in dismissal of all claims on summary judgment.
  • Serving as plaintiff’s counsel for Health Dimensions Rehabilitation, Inc. in a whistleblower case in federal court. The case was ultimately brought to trial and settled, with the defendants agreeing to pay the U.S. government $30 million, of which $5.7 million was paid to the client.
  • Representing Nilfisk-Advance, an international market leader in industrial floor cleaning machines, in a patent infringement lawsuit brought by the company’s largest competitor.
  • Obtained multi-million dollar judgment on behalf of American Bank of St. Paul and 25 participant banks after three week jury trial, with award holding defendant bank liable for aiding and abetting the fraud of one of its customers.
  • Represented Experian in four-week jury trial resulting in jury and bench trial verdicts in favor of Experian, rejecting plaintiffs’ claims of unjust enrichment, trademark infringement, passing off, and violation of Minnesota Deceptive Trade Practices Act, rejecting plaintiffs’ claim for over $300 million in damages, and granting Experian’s counterclaim for fraud on U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
  • Represented over 200 agribusiness clients, as well as several national pharmacy chains, in successful litigation involving a worldwide price-fixing cartel of vitamin manufacturers.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
