• Overview

Associates who join Lindquist & Vennum can expect, and should be prepared for, significant responsibility and client contact early on in their career. We believe with guidance from our senior attorneys, the best experience you can obtain is direct client contact and helping clients prepare for and address their real-life legal challenges.

As a new associate, you will initially be matched with a practice group, based on your interests and experience, as well as the firm’s needs. Our practice group structure is flexible and allows you to work with attorneys in several practice areas; this format also provides the opportunity to switch practice groups as your interests and expertise evolve.

Professional Development

Although gaining experience through direct client contact is crucial to development, we recognize that such hands-on training and experience is not enough. Associates participate in skills-based training, practice group instruction, and outside CLE programs to enhance professional growth and expertise.

Pro Bono

We encourage our associates to give back to the community by providing pro bono services. We are proud of our pro bono program and back up our commitment by providing associates with up to 100 billable hours credit each year for their pro bono contributions.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
