School districts, public charter schools, and others in the field of education have sought advice from Lindquist & Vennum attorneys for more than four decades. We frequently help with general advice regarding school law, expulsion appeals, representation in litigation matters, representation in grievances and negotiation issues unique to public-sector labor law, defense of discrimination charges, advice and negotiation with governmental authorities such as the Internal Revenue Service, EEOC and the Office of Civil Rights.

Lindquist is one of the strongest firms in Minnesota when it comes to representing charter schools in all facets of their formation and operation. Our services in this area include school formation, obtaining initial tax exemption, preparing charter contracts, handling real estate leasing and acquisition including ABC and other transaction structure, counseling on various employment and immigration issues, and answering questions concerning the propriety of actions of officers of the parent-teacher organization.

Lindquist's charter school attorneys work collaboratively to provide the highest level of expertise in every area that a school may need at any phase of its existence.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
